The Shell Stiffeners window allows users to add/modify shell intermediate stiffeners data.
ID – Displays shell stiffener’s identification number.
Elevation – Specifies shell stiffener’s elevation in m/ft.
CA – Specifies shell stiffener’s corrosion allowance in mm/in.
Material – Specifies shell stiffener’s material.
Type – Specifies shell stiffener’s type. It supports six different types:
- Detail c – One Angle
- Detail c2 – One Angle
- Detail d – Two Angle
- Detail d2 – Two Angle
- Detail e – Formed Plate
- Detail f – Flat Bar
The user can plot each detail for more information.
Custom – Specifies a shell stiffener with user-defined dimensions.
Size – Specifies a shell stiffener with standard dimensions.
t – Specifies a shell stiffener dimension “t” value.
a – Specifies a shell stiffener dimension “a” value.
b – Specifies a shell stiffener dimension “b” value.
c – Specifies a shell stiffener dimension “c” value.
Area-req – Displays the shell stiffener’s required area.
Area-act – Displays the shell stiffener’s actual area.
I-req – Displays the shell stiffener’s region required moment of inertia.
I-act – Displays the shell stiffener’s actual moment of inertia.
Z-req – Displays the shell stiffener’s required section modulus.
Z-act – Displays the shell stiffener’s actual section modulus.
Plot Button– Plot the shell stiffener’s region.
Check – Displays the shell stiffener’s check.
Equal Spacing Button – Set stiffener equally spaced apart using actual height as a reference.
Equal Transposed Spacing Button – Set stiffeners equally spaced apart using transposed height as a reference.
Import Default Button – Import default stiffener geometry.
Export Default Button – Export default stiffener geometry. A new single stiffener uses default saved geometry.
Import Button – Import stiffener geometry from a file.
Export Button – Export stiffener geometry into a file.
Cancel Button – Exit window without performing changes.
OK Button – Exit window saving changes.
