The Roof Structure window allows users to modify parameters for each roof structure bay.
The Roof Structure window is separated into different areas, General Design Parameters, Bracing Parameters, Total Weight, Rafter Calculations, Girder Calculations, Column Calculations, and Commands.
General Design Parameters Area #
The General Design Parameters area includes the following data:
Mount Radius – Specifies column’s mount radius.
Column Qty – Specifies column quantity.
Rafter Qty Per Girder act. – Specifies the rafter’s actual quantity per girder.
Rafter Qty Per Girder req. – Displays rafter required quantity per girder.
Rafter Qty Per Bay act. – Displays the rafter’s actual quantity on the bay.
Rafter Qty per Bay req. – Displays rafter required quantity per bay.
Rafter Radius, Inside – Displays rafter inside radius.
Rafter Radius Outside – Displays rafter outside radius.
Bracing Parameters Area #
The Bracing Parameters area includes the following data:
Bracing Qty act. – Specifies bracing actual quantity.
Bracing Qty req. – Displays bracing required quantity.
Bracing Type – Specifies bracing type. It supports two types: Type I (Structural member), and Type II (Bar).
Bracing Length/Type – Specifies bracing bar length/structural member type.
Bracing Size/Width – Specifies bracing bar Width/structural member size.
Bracing Thickness – Specifies bracing bar thickness.
Total Weight Area #
The Total Weight area includes the following data:
Columns – Column – Displays column’s main member weight.
Columns – Top – Displays column’s top detail weight.
Columns – Bottom – Displays column’s bottom detail weight.
Girder – Displays the girder’s weight.
Rafter – Displays rafter’s weight.
Structure Component – Displays miscellaneous structure component’s weight.

Type – Specifies the rafter structural component type.
Size – Specifies the rafter structural component size.
Deflection, Allowable – Specifies rafter allowable deflection.

Import Default Button – Import default structural bays configuration.
Export Default Button – Export default structural bays configuration.
Import Button – Import structural bays configuration from a file.
Export Button – Export structural bays configuration into a file.
Cancel Button – Exit window without performing changes.
OK Button – Exit window saving changes.
