Close all other software before running the SMARTANK® installer. Most unsuccessful installations are caused by other software running at the same time as the installer.
- Get your installer from your commercial representative.
- Run Smatank Setup Wizard and follow the installation steps.
- On the License Agreement screen, read the license agreement. Click I agree to the license agreement and conditions, and then click Install.
- Follow the steps from Installing the Run-time Environment (RTE) section.
- Only for Node-locked Hardware Licenses – Generate Hardware Identification File with the “HIDGenerator.exe” tool inside the installation directory.
- Only for Node-locked Hardware Licenses – Share the Hardware Identification file (.hid) with your commercial representative.
- Only for Node-locked Hardware Licenses – Update the license with the “HIDMemoryUpdateUtility.exe” tool inside the installation directory. Use the Smartank Memory file (.std) received from your commercial representative in the process.
- Only for License in SMARTANK® server – Follow the steps included in Connecting through a VPN section with the information provided by your commercial representative.
