The Anchorage tab is organized in different areas labeled Tank Anchorage, and Anchor Bolts.
Tank Anchorage #
Top Plate Type – Specify the anchor chair top plate type. It currently supports only a Discrete type.
Number of Bolts – Specify the number of anchor bolts.
Bolt Circle Diameter – Specifies the bolt circle diameter.
Bolt Hole Diameter – Specifies the bolt hole diameter.
External Corrosion Allowance (CA) – Specifies the external corrosion allowance applied to anchor chairs.
Top-plate width along shell (a) – Specifies the top plate width along shell (a).
Top-plate length (b) – Specifies the top plate radial length (b).
Height (h) – Specify the anchor chair height (h). Measured from top plate upper surface to bottom plate upper surface.
Gusset Distance (g) – Specifies the anchor chair gusset distance between inner faces (g).
Gusset Thickness (j) – Specifies the anchor chair gusset thickness (j).
Gusset Top Length (k1) – Specifies the anchor chair gusset top edge length (k1).
Gusset Bottom Length (k2) – Specifies the anchor chair gusset bottom edge length (k2).
Anchor Chair Material – Specifies the anchor chair material.
Reinforcing Plate Shape – Specifies the anchor chair reinforcing plate shape. It supports two types: None, and Rectangular Shape.
Top-plate Groove Weld – Specifies the top plate to shell/reinforcing plate groove weld size.
Top-plate Fillet Weld – Specifies the top plate to shell/reinforcing plate fillet weld size.
Top-plate Bevel Type – Specifies the top plate to shell/reinforcing plate edge bevel type. It supports four types: Single Bevel Inside, Single Bevel Outside, Double Bevel, and Square Cut.
Gussets Groove Weld – Specifies the gussets to shell/reinforcing plate and top plate groove weld size.
Gussets Fillet Weld – Specifies the gussets to shell/reinforcing plate and top plate fillet weld size.
Gussets Bevel Type – Specifies the gussets to shell/reinforcing plate and top plate edge bevel type. It supports four types: Single Bevel Inside, Single Bevel Outside, Double Bevel, and Square Cut.
Set Automatic Values – Run an algorithm to fully design the anchor chairs and bolts.
Anchor Bolts #
Bolt Type – Specifies the anchor bolt’s type. It supports four types: Metric – Coarse Pitch, Metric – Fine Pitch, UNC, and UNF.
Size Designation – Specifies the anchor bolt’s size designation.
Nominal Diameter (d) – Specifies the anchor bolt’s nominal diameter (d) in mm/in.
Pitch (p) – Specifies the anchor bolt’s pitch in mm/in.
Threads per millimeter/inch – Specifies the anchor bolt’s threads per mm/in.
Tensile Stress Area – Specifies the anchor bolt’s tensile stress area.
Minor Diameter Area – Specifies the anchor bolt’s minor diameter area.
Bolt Corrosion Allowance – Specifies the anchor bolt’s corrosion allowance.
Anchor Bolts Material – Specifies the anchor bolt’s material.
User defined bolt properties – Allows the option of user-defined anchor bolt’s properties.
Use ANSI B1.1-1974 for area calculations – Specifies the use of ANSI B.1.1-1974 for anchor bolt area requirement calculations.
